Forest hold unbeaten leaders to a draw

If you think back a few months in our very first game against the same team, the score finished 6-1 to Hambro.

How far have we come? We have played Hambro twice in quick succession, losing harshly to an unfortunate penalty and now holding them to a brilliant draw. You could sense they were not happy to only get a draw.

They have not lost in the league this season having drawn their only game with Catholic Utd. Scored 36 goals in 8 games and have a goal difference of +28. Playing against the top team was always going to be hard and we really should not underestimate what we achieved in this game. WHAT A GREAT RESULT!

Shaun scored a cracking individual goal which resembled the goal he scored against Trinity. It was a fine run and with a tight angle he managed to pull the ball back towards goal and an empty net. 1-0!

In the second half we battled the elements and the driving wind.  Played up the slope and Hambro certainly had us on the back foot. They attacked time after time, getting their goal when we failed to clear a corner.

We broke away on a few occasions and rode our luck. Jack made a save which had everyone gasping and would be up there with 'save of the season'.

We (including your parents) are really proud with what you are all achieving as a team, battling for each other and chasing every ball. You all continue to show the right attitude and its hard to put into words what a brilliant result this was.
