Masser Saves the Day

John Masser scored on his full debut for Glade on Sunday as this match threatened to boil over after some unsavoury behaviour from certain individuals on the opposing side. Forest seemed slightly affected and let in two quick goals before half time, this after Lee Mulreany had scored a cracker after 15 minutes. Mulreany's quick thinking caught the Rochford keeper sleeping and fired a superb strike into the near post. The second half began with Forest having a lot of the ball but just not taking chances and with 15 minutes to go man of the match John Masser followed in on a cross from Steven Bourner to fire home. Masser had been involved in everything for most of the game and showed some real grit and determination which seemed to rub off on his team mates also. Callum O'Shea was influential throughout as was new signing Jimmy Jones who did well on the left wing

This was Forest's first point of the season and if they are to get promotion this season the team must learn to kill off teams that they dominate, all in all though it was a good performance.
