Super Glade Mount Title Challenge

Lee Mulreany added another super strike to his already impressive array of spectacular goals this season and in doing so fired Forest into a title challenge. From the outset Glade dominated and after creating 2 good chances in the first half only to see the Elmwood keeper deny them a half time lead.

The second half began and Forest piled on the pressure with some slick passing. Then from nothing Lee Mulreany fired in a 30 yard half volley which nearly broke the net, 1-0. More pressure continued and Forest were unlucky not to go further ahead when Steven Bourner hit the post and the bar in the space of 5 minutes. Forests top scorer this season David Cooper continued to crucify the Elmwood defence and was unlucky not to score on the day. Glade had to be on their guard though and man of the match Peter Wild produced an imperious performance at centre half, he literally did not put a foot wrong. As well as that Marcus Parsons, the Forest captain in the absence of Callum O'Shea produced when he had to and was commanding throughout.

The final whistle finally came and the points were safe. This win signals the start of a real go at the title and there are many who have watched this team over the years knowing that they are capable of winning the division, now it seems the players are believing it too.
