Glade Hit Top Spot

A four goal blast from Forest on Sunday saw them hit top spot for the first time this season and in doing so played some great football from start to finish.

The writing was on the wall early doors when the impressive Jonathan Diment screamed one just over the bar in the 7th minute and Peter Wild had a header cleared off of the line soon after. A carbon copy corner saw Wild head powerfully into the net for 1-0 and within 10 minutes Jimmy Jones made it two with his trademark left foot volley. In the meantime Man of the Match Marcus Parsons made a world class save to tip over the bar and then saved one with his legs to keep Kingsborough at bay.

Half time came and Forest took their foot off of the pedal for the first 10 minutes in the second half but quickly made amends when Rhys Hooper finished nicely for 3-0.

Kingsborough rallied and pulled one back, before the ever brave Parsons had to go off after a kick in the ribs. Rhys Hooper deputised and handled everything with aplomb.

With Kingsborough pushing, winger David Cooper raced clear and smashed an unstoppable drive across the keeper to tie things up at 4-1.

The team played throughout like they meant business and some of the passing and overall work rate were impressive to say the least. Is this the year they fulfil their potential???????
