U9 Tigers on the attack for first
league win of the season. |

|
The second match of
the season was against Deaneswood Youth Lions. Deaneswood kicked
off the first half but the Tigers went on the attack straight
away winning the ball with some excellent passing. Daniel had a
close shot saved by the goalie but as soon as the ball was out
on the pitch we had won it back with a second strike at goal
within 2 minutes. |

The next move saw
Deaneswood push forward winning a corner, this was saved by Ross
D in Forest Glade’s goal. |

Again Forest Glade
went on the attack with good passing between Joe, George, Luke
Josh and Daniel. |
|
|
Daniel tested the
Deaneswood goalkeeper again and Luke just failed to follow up
the goalies mistake on the line. |

On 8 minutes
more good movement from the Tigers allowed them to keep control
of the action. A quick spell of passing resulted in Luke laying
the ball off to George who passed to an unmarked Daniel who shot
from 15 yards out to score. |

|
|
Deaneswood came back
on the attack but the Tigers kept their heads and kept a strong
defensive position with Josh and Ross stopping any attacks half
way into our half. |

|
|
|
On 19 minutes another
attack saw Joe through on goal with George and Luke in support
only to see his shot deflected. |
|
|
|

The second half saw
Deaneswood come out on the attack and win a corner. A good
clearance from Ross P pushed the ball forward to Josh to allow
Forest Glade go on the attack. |

The second half saw a
stronger performance from Deaneswood but our defence was
stronger with Daniel pushed back to help out Ross P. This left
George, Luke Joe and Josh to keep on at Deaneswood. |

On 36 minutes a good
run from George allowed him a shot on goal which was only just
saved. |
|
|
|
|
|
The last minutes saw
some good movements put together but the Tigers were just unable
to convert the chances into goals. |
