Tigers win after long time between matches

The match started well with Forest Glade winning the toss and kicking off.  After 60 seconds, the Tigers won a throw in, which Rhys took.  He found Daniel, who dribbled the ball forward, crossed the ball in and deflected off the goalkeeper to score.  For the next few minutes the Tigers kept up the attack with some good chances on goal.

After five more minutes, the Rangers had a chance at goal but were thwarted by a good save from Ross.  He kicked the ball forward, and it was collected by Rhys, who went past two defenders to slot the ball in the right corner of the goal.

At this point, the Rangers came back on the attack pushing three players forward and only some good defending from Josh gave Tigers some time to recover their positions.

The Rangers kept up their attack which resulted in a shot at goal, which just passed above Ross’s head to end in the back of the net.

The Tigers picked themselves up and came back on the attack, with Daniel taking the ball down the left wing and crossing into the goalmouth only to watch the ball come off the woodwork.  After a scramble between Luke and the goalkeeper.  The ball fell to Joe, who slotted it in.  At half-time, the Tigers were 3-1 up.

The second half started with the Rangers coming out stronger, and only some good saves from Ross P kept the score line in the Tigers favour.  One particular attack was only saved when Josh cleared the ball from the goal-line.

The Tigers kept up the pressure, which resulted in a great through ball from Daniel to Rhys, who scored his second goal of the match.

After some good defending from George B he took the ball forward through a number of the Rangers players only to be brought down in the penalty area and was awarded a penalty.  Daniel stepped up and put the ball away for his second goal.

The final score of 5-1 reflected a good team effort, and when the ball was passed around a lot more chances to score created.
