It was a
tough game and Hullbridge although not prolific in front of
goal, don't seem to let many in. |
|
|
|
|
|
We told the
boys to forget about the last game against Hullbridge where we
beat them 6-0 at their place in probably our finest performance
of the season. |
|
|
|
|
|
In the
first half we were against the wind in very cold conditions. The
game was probably about even until Wayne received a good pass
from Lloyd and pushed through the middle and into the box,
smashing his shot pass the keeper to make it 1-0. Minutes later
a carbon copy instance occured and Wayne's shot lashed against
the post and drifted away to safety. |

Before half
time, Hullbridge got a goal back to make it 1-1. Two minutes
into the second half, Max got down the right wing the ball found
its way to Luke on the six yard line and he smashed a shot into
the net making it 2-1 to us. We continued to have good
possession, however could not find a way through again. Giving
Hullbridge credit, they defended for their lives and gave us a
great game. |

It was
another good win and after the results were confirmed our
promotion was guaranteed. |
|
|
|
|
|
This is our
second season together and to finish bottom last year and see
the transformation to this year has been brilliant. |
|
|
|
|
|
The boys
deserve a massive amount of credit for what they have achieved
so far this year. We saw another good team performance and three
points, well done to the boys. |
