It was a great day for football and
the pitch and conditions were good.
Fairfax were third in the league
and their recent performances had been as good as ours.
We really had as they say "a bad
day at the office". The team performance was lacklustre and
devoid of the usual energy and effort which is normally on
display.
We were second to nearly every ball
and you could see that Fairfax were determined to get a result
from us. They were always a threat and I think the boot was on
the other foot today. Hopefully this will act as a wake call for
our next game.
They scored an early goal and
straight from the restart I think it was a good through ball
from Wayne to put Lloyd in to make it 1-1. Within minutes they
came forward for two quick goals and made it 3-1. Another
followed soon after and it was 4-1 at half time.
We changed the formation slightly
and there was an improvement in the second half and Shaun nicked
our goal early in the half to make the score more respectable.
We thought a fightback might be on but it was never to be.
It really was one to forget, lets
forget about this result and look forward to our next game.
