Forest Delight

We were playing against a team whom we had played four times, losing on each occasion and not scoring in any of the games. We knew we would be in for a tough game.

Ashingdon looked strong from the start and we did not seem to get our game going. The first half was devoid of any clear cut opportunities as neither side pushed for an advantage.

After half time it seemed as though a different team went onto the pitch and started to press at the Ashingdon defence.

With 7 minutes gone from the restart Perry beat the defender and took a shot which looped over the goalkeeper leaving him stranded to make it 1-0! it was a great strike to give us the lead.

Shortly after Wayne was out wide on the left hand side of the box and took a shot in a position that most people would not attempt and with great precision the ball travelled over the top of the keeper into the far corner making it 2-0.

Ashingdon's heads dropped and and we were on a roll. We kept pressing and again after being awarded a free kick, Jack took a shot which which went over the wall, deflected off the defender and passed the goalkeeper to make it 3-0.

Each goal was special and worthy of winning any game, it was another hard earned and deserved victory. An excellent result. Well done.
