After last weeks stunning performance we approached the game with confidence. Trinity had been in fine form the previous week having beating Ashingdon, a team we have played four times, losing on each occasion and not having scored. We knew we were in for a tough game.

We started brightly and seemed to be in control in midfield and Oliver seemed to be by and large a spectator. We were winning the first time balls and never allowed Trinity to settle. Midway through the first half the ball fell to Lloyd out on the left side of the box who taking a half volley took a speculative shot which looped over the top of the despairing goalkeepers dive. 1-0!

The passion and commitment from the boys was clear to see, Oliver was excellent when called upon. Jack was everywhere, taking goal kicks, corners, free kicks and doing the things he does best. Danny, Joe, Tom & Kieran were all excellent at the back working hard as a defensive unit.

Shaun was exceptional in midfield covering every blade of grass and winning every tackle. Lloyd likewise. Luke and Robert were moving well down the wings and creating time to give us much needed respite at times.

Perry, James and Louis were causing trouble up front and probably deserved more for there efforts. It will not be long before they start getting there names on the score sheet.

Sadly for Kieran he was taken off due to a foot injury and now looks likely to be sidelined for a few weeks.

We currently sit proudly at the top of the league after two games. We can really bask in the glory at the moment, however there is still lots of hard work to be done.

Another great win for the boys.
