Amazing Hawkwell comeback gave
Forest a scare |
|
|
Five great
goals from the new signing Lewis Farrier meant the Forest U14
team were cruising to their first league victory of the season.
With 20 minutes to go, everything looked good. |

Then
Hawkwell got a goal. The Hawkwell manager joked on the sideline
that a goal every 2 minutes will give them a win 6-5! |
|
| |
|
|
The turning
point of the game was a penalty awarded to Hawkwell shortly
after their first goal. The Forest side thought it was a bit
soft, and when it was confidently scored, the Forest team
buckled having let 2 goals in within minutes. |
|
| |
|
|
Hawkwell
were on fire and within the next 8 minutes they had scored yet
another 2 goals to get back to a truly amazing 5-4 score line.
The relief was incredible when the final whistle went. |

Well done to
the Forest team for holding on and securing the well deserved
win. However, a huge well done for Hawkwell for never giving up
and pressing to the very end. If there had been another 5
minutes to this game, the score could have been different. |
