It was a good
performance for the U14A team, introducing a few new players
into the team from the summer break. The usual Barleylands wind
was blowing and the first result ended in stalemate, despite
Forest Glade having some good opportunities playing with the
wind. |

Forest Glade
broke the deadlock with some good running on the right from Ben,
with the resulting cross eventually tapped in by Tyler for the
first goal of the season. |

Phoenix
stepped up their game and put the Forest Glade box under
pressure several times. A one-on-one with the keeper saw John
make a good save to prevent a Phoenix goal. The equaliser came
from a goalmouth scramble, and with Forest Glade unable to clear
their lines quick enough, the goal was inevitable. |

line remained to the final whistle, and with good performances
all round, both teams went home satisfied. |
