Impressive Glade get their Pockets Picked!
Forest paid the price for a host of missed chances and bad luck on Sunday after looking all over the winners of this contest. For most of the game they dominated play, creating chances with a smooth patern of play.

Forest took the lead after 20 minutes when John Masser cut inside from the left and fired into the bottom corner. The Blues continued to dominate and went further ahead with a stunning strike from David Cooper that crashed in off of the bar. Just before half time though Forest failed to clear a corner and Wakering scored with a good finish.

The second half began and Forest created chance after chance but could not find the net. Wakering cleared two efforts off of the line when it looked both times certain goals, the last one from Ben Harrison hitting the defender on the heel and bouncing out, quite amazing. With 15 minutes to go Rhys Hooper had a glorious chance to put Forest two goals clear but unfortunately missed from close range when again a goal looked certain.

As the last 10 minutes approached you started to get the feeling that this wasnt going to be Forest's day, and we were right. An attempted cross from the left evaded everyone and found its way into the net for 2-2 and with 5 minutes left Wakering scored again leaving The Glade quite literally stunned.

The game was a classic "daylight robbery" game but you can pull every cliché out of the book you want, quite simply the team got punished for not taking their chances. A very despondent team trudged from the pitch afterwards, but in all honesty the team performed admirably and played some great football. The season promises much.
