Winter Blues for
U7's |
On a day more fit for
polar bears the boys never really warmed up or got going. |
Great Wakering from
the off were more mobile, however despite having the lion share
of possession did not look like scoring in the first half. The
team talk at half time did not do the trick and the boys seemed
to lose their shape and discipline even more in the second half.
Great Wakering become more organised and pressed for goal.

Matthew Wright (goal
keeper) made a brave effort coming of his line to part block the
advances of a Great Wakering player's run and shot on goal only
to see the ball deflect of his body, over his head, and to see
two Forest players help the ball over their own line in the
confusion as to who was to clear it. A further freakish goal due
to the windy conditions followed and we were two down. |
Some heads did drop.
Luke Mackie however never gave up, tackling back and driving
forward in the midfield on surging runs. Unfortunately he lacked
the support his efforts deserved. |
Well played to Great
Wakering who handled the conditions very well and unlucky to the
Forest boys, hopefully we will get back to winning ways soon. |

Thanks again to the
parents/supporters for all their support on what was a extremely
cold day. |
