Disappointing Home Defeat |
A
disappointing defeat where we had a lot of posession but no real
urgency, determination or creativity. |
The first
half was a boring affair with us failing to capitalise on a
helping wind and slope. The best chance of the first half
actually fell to them but a great save from stand in keeper
Gareth Pummery kept them out. |
| |
Second half
we knew it was going to be hard, battling against a strong wind.
We fell behind instantly and before we knew it we were 2 down.
| |
It took us
this long to notice what we were doing wrong. We then played the
ball simply and passed around them for a ten minute spell were
we grabbed 2 goals. First Brad Stevens through ball was
converted by Craig Jones. Then once again Stevens was the
provider as James Riley dispatched from just inside the box.
Just when we
thought we were able to win the game, a defensive marking error
that has plagued us all year happened again and they won 3-2.
Time to
start learning from our mistakes and to stop thinking good
football is enough without the hard work and determination. |
