Disappointment as Forest still look for 1st point |
|
|
Forest had a disappointing result against Vange, who gained
revenge following their cup exit to Forest Glade two weeks ago.

Early play was dominated by Vange although there was little
pressure placed on The Forest Glade goal. An excellent strike
from 22 yards out saw Forest Glade take an unexpected lead. This
stunned Vange who went on to score 6 unanswered goals in the
next 50 minutes, totally outplaying the Forest Glade team who
had appeared a completely different side from that that beat
Vange 5-3 in their last match. Some of the goals were well taken
however Richard Long had a difficult full debut and will need to
rebuild his confidence after a couple of errors.

With 10 minutes to go James Simpson again hit another fantastic
strike which beat the keeper hands down. This built some
confidence in the team and the performance got a lot better.
With about 6 minutes to go Ryan Seagroatt let fly a superb shot
that again left the keeper with no chance, pulling the score
back to 6-3. Shortly after a strong challenge in the ball saw
what originally looked like a serious injury to Chris Rowland.
Thankfully this would appear to be a knock that should see him
return by next weekend.

There were few highlights in this match but the two strikes by
James and some excellent wing work by Jimi Bude saw them share
the man of the match award.
