No Cup run this year

After having a good cup run last season where the lads reached the quarter final of the Cup we entered this tie full of optimism even though we knew the team we were playing would be a good test.

Unfortunately, Howbridge Swifts turned our to be a big, strong powerful side and we found ourselves 5 Nil down at half time!

On a very hot day for football and a surface that was hard, we were playing for pride in the 2nd half. Howbridge were a very well marshalled team however and continued to pursue as many goals as possible. The lads to their credit did not start arguing with each other or give up, and although we ended up on the end of a 9 Nil beating at full time, we have to dust ourselves down and learn from this and improve not only when we play them next in the League, but more importantly in our next game away at Redwing.
