First Clean sheet of the season

We were away yet again in the League, this time across the road from our own ground at Redwing B.

After 80 minutes of play neither side could find the vital goal to claim all 3 points and both teams had to share a point.

In a game that found the ball frequently in the air and challanges for headers being a key perspective. At times some innovative and link up play was found by us and could have been rewarded with a bit more clinical finishing, but it was a game when we just needed to try and keep the ball on the floor and pass and move a bit more than we did.

In the first half we hit the cross bar following a Chris Lowe shot and in the 2nd half we fired over the bar from close range.

The defence of Alex, Ryan, Tom, Jon and Jack in goal held steady and absorbed the odd breaks that was pounced on them, but really it looked like a Nil Nil draw was on the cards early on in the 2nd half, with us having that slight edge to claim all 3 points, but unfortunately we didn’t.

That said, it’s a point away from home (and a point more than we gained here last season) and good to claim our first clean sheet of the season.

That’s the first Nil Nil I've been involved in since I started coaching and managing.
