Good solid start to the season

Within two minutes of the new season a smart passing move on the right side led to Lewis Farrier opening the scoring. It was a well taken goal to open Lewis's account for the season. Forest Glade using the advantage of the slope dominated possession for the remainder of the opening half with numerous chances going begging.

Hamlet Court had some good possession in the middle 10 minutes of the first half, but deservedly Forest went into the break ahead 1-0.

The second half saw Hamlet Court outplayed with Forest Glade starting to put some good passing together and dominating proceedings. Not long after the break again some goog play on the right led to Sam Lawrence crashing the ball into the net. A deserved goal for some excellent play on the right wing.

There was still better to come. With about 10 minutes to go, a long clearance by Hamlet Court landed at the feet of Jamie Miln. He calmly ran through the Midfield, towards the penalty box. He rounded a defender and when not closed down, let fly with a hard shot that flew towards the top right corner for a fantastic goal.

Man of the match went to Lewis Farrier fir his tireless running and closing down of the opposition defenders that caused mayhem and panic.

Jack Walker replacing the sick Brad Harvey in goal was a spectator for the majority of the game. The best save he had to make was from an offside decision. Thanks though for standing in well done.

Overall an excellent display for the opening day of the season. Well done to all the boys
