This was the first ever league match for the
U7 Lions and everyone was excited and keen.
It started quite evenly, but Forest began to
push forward more and more.
Henry Paul showed some good determination through the
attack which earned him two goals in fairly quick succession.
Thomas Morgan followed up with a third goal before the
half time break.
In the second half, Wickford came back
stronger and didn't allow Forest Glade to rule things in their
half. Stretching
the Forest defence a few times Wickford were rewarded by a goal
mid-way through the second half.
With a few minutes to go, another goal went in and the
last few minutes were tense for both sides.
However, Forest held out for a well deserved first win.
