The original
referee unfortunately had to pull out just prior to the game
and an alternative had to be found for what was likely to be a
tough game. James’ brother Alex stepped in and straight away
had to make some difficult decisions as the physical
challenges of the Devils led to a couple of the Reds being
injured. |
|
Ryan was
having a better game this week but he had to drop back further
into the midfield to then drive the ball up field.
Unfortunately with Ryan dropping back into midfield there was
now no-one up front to finish the good work. |
|
Reece was
playing well and Brandon was battling hard in defence.
Unfortunately for the Reds, 10 minutes before the end of the
game Brandon received a leg injury after another physical
challenge. The Reds had to reorganise with Jordan coming on
for Brandon and Tom, who had been playing well in midfield,
had to drop back to join Jordan in defence. |
|
Having one
of his best games, Troy, was putting in some good tackles
whilst James was at his best again. James’ speed made it
difficult for any of the Devils to catch him and he was able
to send in a few balls into the Devils’ box. But the Reds were
unable to score the decisive goal. |
|
Just before
the end, Eric came out of his goal and pulled off a brave
match saving save as he dived straight onto the floor. Eric
was awarded Man of the Match. |
