With the
Reds not kicking off till 12.30 we knew the pitch should be
playable and OK. However when we arrived at the ground the
pitch was like a cattle field but still, the weather was
great and all boys were present. |
|
The first
half started with some dodgy passing from the Reds and good
passing from Byfleet. But within a few minutes Byfleet lost
the ball in the midfield and Tom snapped up the ball. As he
started to make a run he looked up and made an excellent
cross to Ryan who was just in front off the goalie. Ryan
smacked the ball in the net with his head to make it a great
start and 1-0 to the Reds. |
|
Reece was
having a great game, he was all over the pitch clearing and
recovering the ball that the other Reds had lost. James had
a small boy on him which he was finding it really difficult
to shake off even with his speed. Jordon was having a good
game trying to get the ball up front to Ryan but things just
were not happening. Just after half time Byfleet’s striker
was running straight towards Troy in goal. Brandon just
pulled him back and with that the boy went down penalty for
Byfleet. Every one of the Forest supporters felt so sorry
for Troy as he had only been in goal a few minutes. Byfleet
hammered the ball straight into the top of the goal; Troy
just got a finger to it. |
|
The game
finished 1-1 and the boy’s were not happy with their
performance. |
