There were
a few changes to the team with players in different
positions to normal. The weather was just starting to
brighten up which was just as well as the pitch was still a
bit frosty. After the performance last week against Byfleet
the Reds knew they needed to improve to win. |
|
The ball
was remaining in the Byfleet half for the first five minutes
as the Reds’ were on the attack constantly with some great
passes floating around the Forest Glade team. With 7 mins.
of play gone Ryan was running towards goal with Brendon on
the ball. He was just about to lay the ball to Ryan when he
was brought down in the penalty box. The ref was about to
blow when Ryan passed to James and he smacked the ball into
the net as the whistle went, but the goal stood. |
|
Jordon and
Reece were having a great game in the defence as they both
were making some super tackles and interceptions to win the
ball. Brendon was taking out players twice the size of him
and also making some great passes to Ryan. Tom was having
his best game yet with some solid tackles going in.
Byfleet
knew they had a fight this week. Both teams were battling
for the 3 points but with a cracking pass from Jordon, Ryan
slid one past the goalie for 2-0. |
|
But the
Forest boys were keeping hold of the ball for to long when
attacking which meant Byfleet were able to recover. Then
from the half way line, Ryan ran towards goal taking it
round one player then turning another before arriving on the
goal line and making a gliding shot past keeper 3-0 Reds.
The Reds
really played well this week. |
