With the
temperature at 3 degrees it was Forests turn to sing, if we
where to continue our charge on the division leaders we
could ill afford to drop a point or two to a team below us. |
|
The start
of the match had us under pressure, the opposition had a
number of big players, which I am sure, effected the early
challenges, but after 2 minutes some linking play down the
right between Alex and Thomas exposed Elmwood’s defence and
a sign of things to come. A cross from Thomas across the
goal had James drill the final touch into the back of the
net. |
|
Some more
pressure from Elmwood again was met by a counter attack,
this time the finishing touch was made by Harry who went on
to clinch another hat trick. |
|
Opportunities came thick and fast allowing Mathew to get his
first of the season and Robert & Alex to gain there second
this year. |
|
Jamie
showed the best performance so far this season with bags of
energy that had him go home with the Man of the Match,
whilst Reece controlled the defence superbly for a clean
sheet supported by Ryan, Liam, Daniel & DJ. |
|
Right up
to the last minute shots on goal continued, Thomas hit the
cross bar and Oliver shot beat the goal keeper but was
cleared off the line by the last defender. The 7 – 0 victory
was a job well done, and one that all the team can be proud
off. |
