An excellent result for Forest and one they thoroughly deserved.

Forest have played excellent in their last 2 games but unfortunately lost them both in the last minute. But for the second game in a row, Forest played Dons Academy. A bright start from Forest saw Joe and Sam E causing problems in the Dons defence with their pace. Alex S also had a long range shot saved.

Then a corner from Joe swung to the back post. The ball was controlled by Alex S and he crossed into Jack M who struck a sweet volley into the net for 1 - 0. Straight after that, some more great running by Sam E saw him shoot from round about the corner flag only to see it just dip over the bar. However near the end of the half, a great run down the wing which started by the half way line by Sam E saw him get to the by-line. He passed 2 defenders and then crossed the ball to Joe at the back post who had the simplest of finishes for 2-0. Dons put us under some pressure in the last 5minutes at the end of the half but the Forest defence stood strong and anything that got past was collected by Matt.

In the second half Forest went down a gear. Dons tried in vain to get the game back but the defence stayed strong and distributed the ball well. And with the pace of the strikers we always looked dangerous on the break. Sam E and Joe each had another chance and when Sam E was brought down clumsily in the box it looked like a definite penalty but it wasn't given.

However, with 2 minutes left the game was wrapped up. Jack S made a powerful run and laid the ball to Alex S. He had one touch to take it round their player then curled it in to the top corner. The game ended 3-0 with Forest playing a very good Dons team off the park and scoring 3 goals for a comfortable but hard fought win.

Well Done!
