Forest  Drive the Fans WILD

Peter Wild was outstanding at the heart of the Glade defence on Sunday, with a display of heading and tackling that would not look out of place in any standard of football. The league leaders were made to look second best for the whole match with Glade continuing in great form. Four victories on the spin have elevated them to within touching distance of the top three should they continue winning like this.

The first goal was taken with great skill by the in form Lee Mulreany who finished after good work from Jonathan Diment. Forest had two more clear cut chances before a Beckham like free kick by Jonathan Diment gave the boys a deserved two nil lead at half time.

The second half continued much like the first with the back three of Sabberton, Wild and Harrison, and the tough tackling Jack Smith commanding. Forest were held to less scoring chances but controlled things throughout before conceding a last minute penalty which was a consolation goal for Basildon.

Given that Basildon are leading the division it is clear that this team are capable of winning the division should they reach a level of consistency they can stay at!!!
